Victor E. Asch, age 92, a lifelong resident of New Buffalo, died peacefully Monday, November 22, 2021.
His life began July 19, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana to Homer and Mary Asch.
He married Catherine Murabito May 14,1953 in Crown Point, Indiana. After fifty-three years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 2006.
Vic had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed camping, taking family vacations every summer, and fishing. Vic and Catherine loved to travel. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955.
Vic will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by three sons, Clifford Asch of New Buffalo, Dale Asch of New Buffalo, Jay Asch (Vicky) Three Oaks; one daughter, Karen Asch of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Amanda (Jon) Wulff, Christina Asch, Nicole (Keith) Kehoe, Brandon; five great grandchildren, Victoria, Sophia, Aiden, Waylon, and Aubrey; his dear friend, Bedge Stromer of New Buffalo; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his wife; his granddaughter, Robyn; and one brother, Donald.
Family and friends will gather Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Wagner Family Funerals Pobocik Chapel, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks, with The Reverend Father Basker Lopez officiating.
Mr. Asch will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Catherine in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo.
