Steven Ray Bowerman

 Steven Ray Bowerman, 71, of Niles, died peacefully Friday, June 14, 2024, in the comfort of his family’s presence.

His life began October 27, 1952, in Paducah, Kentucky the only child born to Nelson and Mildred Bowerman.

Steven cherished his family and grandchildren.  They were his world.  He was an avid golfer and bowler.  He was a social butterfly and he enjoyed being with others and never met a stranger.  He was a big Michigan fan, GO BLUE! Steven was a member of the Eagles in Niles.

Steven will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by two daughters, Sheila (David) Boodt of White Pigeon, Amber (Princeton Wright) Bowerman of White Pigeon; five grandchildren, Trevor, Amyia, Dillan, Cayden, Jayla, all of White Pigeon; close friend and mother of his daughters, Denise Bowerman of White Pigeon; girlfriend, Vicki Hardy of Niles; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother from another mother, Tom “Mushy” Roberts.          

Family and friends will gather Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 34 Sycamore Street, in Niles.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Steven be made to the family in care of Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031, to help defray expenses.
