Rodney A. Wright

Rodney Aaron Wright, 52, of Vandalia, died Friday, August 22, 2025, peacefully in the comfort of his family’s presence.

His life began September 19, 1972, in Niles, Michigan the second of three born to Robert and Sandra Wright.  Rodney started A+ Lawn and Landscaping in 1994, Rodney continued to operate his business until his passing. He also owned A+ Floral from 2003 to 2011. He was a lifetime member of Penn Friends Church in Cassopolis. In his downtime he loved being outdoors, working in the garden, landscaping, fishing and enjoyed family vacations. He was an avid video game collector, as well as, collecting and reading fantasy and Science Fiction novels. Rodney loved to go to the casino with his brother, Rob, they were inseparable. Rodney was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was known by all to be selfless and caring.

Rodney will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his mother, Sandra Lee Wright of Vandalia; one daughter, Hailey Nicole Wright of Dowagiac; one sister, Renee (Adam) Newland of Three Rivers;  one brother, Rob (Melody) Wright of Cassopolis and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Wright in 2018.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 5:00p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00p.m. in Penn Friends Community Church, 19107 Quaker Street (corner of Penn Road), Cassopolis. Rodney will be laid to rest in Young’s Prairie Cemetery.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Rodney be made to Penn Friends Community Church.
