Rebecca Marie "Becky" Deans

Rebecca Marie “Becky”  Deans, 66, of Cassopolis, died Monday, April 29, 2024.

Her life began April 2, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana, one of two daughters born to William M. Adams and Norma Crider.  She married Walter A. Deans December 18, 1976, in Cassopolis. 

Becky liked to crochet.  She was a phenomenal cook and baker.  Her family will miss her macaroni and cheese and candy cane cookies especially.  At Christmas time, she and Sylvester would host a fun boy against girls’ competition, making gingerbread houses.  She was a long-time member of the Church of Cassopolis. She loved animals and worked for a time at the Cass County Animal Control.  She also worked at the Cass County Medical Care Facility for a number of years.  Becky was fun loving and had an amazing sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and attending day trips they would take together.

Becky will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Walter A. Deans of Cassopolis; three daughters, Adrienne (Sylvester) Brown of Bristol, Courtney Deans of Dowagiac, Kristen Deans of Dowagiac; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, one sister, Cathy Crider of Dowagiac; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.           

The family prefers contributions in memory of Becky be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108.
