Mary Katheryn Martin

Mary Katheryn Martin, age 76, of Lansing, Michigan passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, in McLaren Hospital in Lansing following a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family when she passed away.

She was born November 3, 1945, in Doctor’s Hospital in Benton Harbor, Michigan, born to Arthur Wade and Esther Lucille Martin.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael; her two grandsons, Jacob Martin, Charles Martin; and one sister, Roberta (Martin) Heuer.  Beloved by her niece, Laurie Mixon; her nephew, Terry Gainer; a host of great nieces and nephews; and her cat of many years, Goldie.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Anne Marbach.

Mary loved music, gardening, and Michigan State Basketball. Family history, genealogy, and quilting were also passions of hers. She attended Michigan State University and was a graduate of Lansing Community College. She had retired in 2003 from the State of Michigan as a computer analyst.

Family and friends will gather, in her hometown of Three Oaks, Michigan, Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in Wagner Family Funerals Pobocik Chapel, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks.

Mrs. Martin will be laid to rest in the family cemetery, Posey Chapel, immediately following the gathering.
