Marlene Diane Ordakowski

Marlene Diane Ordakowski gained her angel wings on April 18, 2026. She was born to Walter Ordakowski and Mary Kobylarczyk on January 27, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. Dear wife of her late husband Bernie Miskowitz, Dear sister to the late Mary (Niemotka), and Whitey Ordakowski. She is survived by her brothers Frank and Fred Ordakowski, and her sisters Marcia (Cooper) and Sandra (Scara). Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Marlene will be known for her bright smile, kindness, generosity, and fun-loving spirit. You could always tell when she entered a room because it always seemed brighter. She gave to many charities and had a big heart to help those in need. She was always laughing, dancing, and goofing around with her loved ones. Though the rooms may now be dimmer, we are grateful for the memories shared.

Marlene was a legal secretary for many years. When she retired, she worked part-time as a professional gardener and at the Hallmark store. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She lived near Wrigley Field for over 50 years and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews to Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, and other fun places throughout the city. She spent her time running marathons, biking along the lakefront, gardening, and bird watching in her yard. She loved cats and always had a cat or three in her home. She spent a lot of time with her late husband at their lake home in Cassopolis, Michigan. She enjoyed kayaking and relaxing in nature at their home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery where Marlene will be laid to rest next to her husband.
