Lyne David Tarwater

Lyne Tarwater, 81, of Three Oaks, passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

His life began April 10, 1943 in Etowah, Arkansas, the fourth of five children born to Raymond and Juil Tarwater. He married Sophia Rakoczy in Canada on January of 1965. After thirty-nine years of marriage, she preceded him in death.
    
Lyne made the move from Arkansas to Three Oaks in 1951, where he enrolled at Three Oaks High School. Following his education, Lyne dedicated eight years of service to the Marines, with deployments in both Vietnam and Korea. In his free time, he passionately tended to the flowers in front of his home and enjoyed riding motorcycles as a member of the Legion Rider's Group. Lyne was also a proud member of The American Legion Post #204 for over fifty years..     
    
Lyne will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his, two sons, Daniel (Chris) Tarwater of Monument, Colorado, Michael Tarwater of Buchanan, two grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Adelgren of Palmdale, California, David Tarwater of Monument, Colorado, and one sister, Betty (David) Umphrey of New Troy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife,
one brother, Doyle Tarwater, two sisters, Rosemary Bacon, and Audrey Conley. 

Family and friends will gather February 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon in Wagner Family Funerals Pobocik Chapel, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks. Where he will be awarded full military honors. 

Lyne will be laid to rest with his wife in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
