Linda R. Garwood

Linda Ruth Garwood, 79, of Inverness, Florida, formerly of Cass County, Michigan, died peacefully November 17, 2023 in the comfort of her husband’s presence.

Her life began January 5, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the older of two children and the only daughter of Kenneth and Pearl Tyson.  She married Bernard Allan Garwood August 2, 1997 in Bethany Missionary Church in Jimtown, Indiana.

Linda worked as a licensed beautician for over thirty years.

Linda will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Bernard Garwood; three daughters, Dorothy (Bill) Dollins, Dawn (Don) Surface, JoMarie (Ryan) Reed; seven grandchildren, Nicolette (Jason) Bridges, Heather (Isaac Garcia) Dollins, Dana (R.J.) Dolph, Amanda (J.R.) Hoffman, Matthew Bear, Holly (Chad Clay) Bear, Dylan (Sara) Bear; thirteen great grandchildren, Olivia Murray, Aaliyah Garcia, Julia Jones, Blake Jones, Victoria Galan, Lilli Dolph, Richie Dolph, Liam Hoffman, Quinn Hoffman, Morgan Hoffman, Lucille Bear, Chase Clay, Scarlet Bear; one step-daughter, Kimberly (Chris) Scott; one step-son, Jason (Bonnie) Garwood; three step-grandchildren, Danielle (Casey) Keene, Garrett (Yasmine) Rink-Scott, Anslie Rink-Scott; and five step-great grandchildren, Archer Keene, Henry Keene, Jonah Keene, Leonidas Rink and one due in April.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth Hite; a step-great granddaughter, Everlynn Brandt; and her brother.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in Wagner Family Funerals Connelly Chapel, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis.  Linda will be laid to rest in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Penn Township.
