Lillian L. Owen

Lillian Leone Owen, 85, of Union, died peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Her life began March 31, 1939 in Dowagiac, Michigan, the oldest of five children born to Frank and Pauline Owen.

Lillian was fiercely independent and a very selfless person.  She would do just about anything for anyone in need.  She loved the outdoors and would spending time gardening.  She enjoyed sitting outside taking everything in.  Lillian cherished animals, especially her Siamese cat, Sassy, and her dog, Jack.

Lillian will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by son, Craig Owen of Union: one sister, Betty (George) Hall of Dowagiac; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Andrew Owen, Wayne Owen, and David Owen.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. for a memorial service in Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church, 54970 M-51 North, Dowagiac, Michigan.
