Kathleen Ann Oliver, age 58, of Errington, British Columbia, Canada, died unexpectedly Monday, June 20, 2022 while vacationing in Union Pier, Michigan. Her daughter was with her.
Her life began September 11, 1963 in Mission, British Columbia to Clarence and Mary Ann Oliver. She married Ronald A. Konst February 29, 1988 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Kathy would take in any stray animal or person that needed a place to stay or someone to believe in them. She loved animals—horse riding, fostering and care taking-- but gardening was her happy place. Additionally, she enjoyed collecting things especially antiques and cobalt blue glass.
She was a volunteer for therapeutic riding for people of all ages, especially children with special needs. She was also involved in Girl Guides of Canada as a Brownie leader for ten years, and an active volunteer with Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Kathleen will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Ronald A. Konst, of Errington, British Columbia, Canada; one daughter Jade Konst of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; one son, Emery Konst of Smithers, British Columbia, Canada; brothers, Bob (and his lady, Marie) Oliver, Ernie (Lorraine) Oliver, Pat (Lori) Oliver, Ted (Alicia) Oliver, all of Canada; a plethora of surrogate children and grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael; and adopted daughter, Jessica.
Family and friends will gather at home in Errington, British Columbia, Canada at a later date.
