Jerolyn A. Crist

Jerolyn Ann Crist, 67, of Dowagiac, died peacefully Wednesday, November 22, 2023.     

Her life began April 16, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, the third of five children born to Gerald and Jane Crist.

Jerolyn was a great lover of animals, gardening and baking.  Throughout her life she was caretaker to various cats, dogs, hens, ducks and fish.  She was never without her pet “family”. In her relatively small Chicago Garden, she was able to cultivate many kinds of crops. Jerolyn spread her love by sharing her produce and baked goods with others.

Prior to retiring, Jerolyn was an account manager in commercial photography studios/ advertising agencies around Chicago.

Jerolyn will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her companion of thirty-five years, Greg Sharrard; two sisters, Gayle Crist, Laura Dow; one brother, Greg (Diane) Crist; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Anthony “Tony” Crist.

Ms. Crist will be laid to rest in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, Illinois.
