Furthering his coaching career, Floyd became Athletic Director, the Head Coach of Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys and Girls teams for Cassopolis Public Schools. This awarded him the wonderful opportunity to coach both of his daughters. During Floyd's time coaching in Cassopolis, he won several Conference, District, and Regional championships; Coach of the Year and was named the Sports Fest All Star Head Coach for Michigan. Through his love for basketball, Floyd mentored young people in the community by opening up the gym many Saturdays for pick up games.
