Etta Janeice Davis

Etta Janeice Davis, 90, of Galien, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the comfort of her family’s presence.

Her life began August 6, 1935 in Rienzi, Mississippi, the eldest of three children born to James and Arnie Killough. She married Chester Davis July 19, 1952 in Mississippi. On February 10, 2010 he preceded her in death.         

Janeice enjoyed cross word puzzles and watching old movies. She loved Perry Mason. Janeice liked playing cards with friends and family. She was always ready to eat her husband’s homemade pizza. Janice was a private person.           

Janeice will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by one daughter, Loretta(Lawrence L.) Kray, grandchildren, Crystalyn (Chad) Butzen, Lawrence J.(Amanda) Kray, Suzanne Kray, Kelly Widlacki; great-grandchildren, Chloe Kray, Michael Santacroce, Maria Davis, Joshua Davis Lorelei Widlacki, Andrew Widlacki, one sister, Reba Wachal, one brother, Jimmie Killough, one niece, Amy Giacalone, one nephew, Buddy Gerhardt, two great-nieces, Olivia Giacalone, Zoey Gerhardt, and one great-nephew, Zaden Gerhardt, and one brother-in-law, Donald (Diane) Davis, and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and one son Dennis Davis.

The family will observe a private remembrance.
