David Terry Ott

David Terry Ott, 75, of Baroda, died peacefully, Saturday, January 14, 2023, in the presence of his family.

David was born April 20, 1947 in Dowagiac, Michigan one of three boys born to Martin and Lydia Ott.

David was born in Dowagiac but raised in Baroda his entire life.  He was a successful entrepreneur who organized and operated many businesses in Southwest Michigan including, Hollywood Store and the Blue Goose Inn Bar and Restaurant in Niles. One of his favorite pastimes was shopping and finding deals at Menards and Goodwill.  He enjoyed the arts and could often be found at arts and craft fairs and shows.  He loved going antiquing and attending auctions.  

David will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his niece, Ann (Leslie) Badgley of Buchanan; nephew, Andy (Lisa) Ott of Galien; great niece, Alicia Wakefield of Galien, Bailey McCarty of Oak Park, Skiler Ott of Galien; great nephew, Brandon McCarty of Buchanan; sister-in-law, Waneeta Ott of Galien great great niece, Veda; and great great nephews, Brixon, and Weston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Jimmy Ott, Dennis Ott. 

The family will observe a private remembrance. 

David will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Lake Charter Township.
