Dale Koth Obituary

Dale Louis Koth, 92, of Baroda, died peacefully, Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the comfort of his family’s presence.

His life began September 3, 1930, in Three Oaks, Michigan, the second oldest of four children born to Lester and Frances Koth. He married Marjorie Lorraine Wells in Three Oaks, February 3, 1950.

Dale was a graduate of Three Oaks High School.  He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Fishing was a favorite pastime that Dale and Marge enjoyed for many years.  Many times, you could find a note on the table that said, “Gone Fishing.”  When any type of project needed to be done, whether a new roof, building a garage, siding, etc., the “Koth Boys” were always there ready and willing.  The family was fortunate to have their skills.  When Dale retired from his work as a carpenter, he took to the golf course.  Even on the days things didn’t go so well, he enjoyed being with the friends he made while playing the game.

Dale will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Marjorie Koth of Baroda; daughter, Lynne Keefer of Three Oaks; grandchildren, Kelly (Amy) Keefer of Galien, Karen (Chris) Keefer-Clay of Three Oaks; great grandchildren, Rose Keefer, Drew Holub, Ava Holub, Nora Keefer, Jaren Christ and Makena Christ; sister, Bernadine Trent of Zephyrhills, Florida; brothers, Edmund (Trudy) Koth of Three Oaks, Eugene (Linda) Koth of Three Oaks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Robert Keefer.

The family will observe a private remembrance.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Dale be made to Caring Circle Hospice, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.
