Cindra Lou Mikel, 84, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday, June 1, 2026.
Her life began September 15, 1941, in Plymouth, Indiana, the eldest of seven children born to Louis and Marybeth Null. She married Bobbie William “Bob” Mikel May 11, 1987 in Cassopolis, Michigan. After almost thirty years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2017.
Cindra had a heart of gold; she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She enjoyed being around people, which led her to working as a server and bartender for fifteen years. Her honesty about sharing her opinion with others was not something she was afraid to do; she did not care who she was talking to. Family meant a great deal to Cindra including her two beloved cats, Podunk and Mr. Kitty. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, driving anywhere and everywhere, going on cruises, dancing, and playing her favorite card game, Euchre.
Cindra will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children, Connie Lego of Marcellus, Larry Mikel of Three Rivers, Jeffrey (Julie) Davis of Edwardsburg; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Plencner, Toni, Jamie; and one step granddaughter, Vickie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Michelle Davis; and her son, Timothy Davis.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis.
Cindra will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Edwardsburg Cemetery.
