Chris Crakes

Chris Crakes, age 66, of Three Oaks, died Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Her life began December 26, 1954 in Merrillville, Indiana, one of four children born to John and Laura Smith.  She married Mike Crakes February 14, 1976 in Union Pier, Michigan.

Chris cherished her kids, grandkids, and her dogs.  She enjoyed gambling and frequenting the casinos.  She loved to travel.  While she hated the cold, her favorite season was the Fall and loved Christmas.  Every year her Christmas Tree was decorated in Santa Claus decorations.  She loved life, had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party.   

Chris will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Mike Crakes of Three Oaks; two daughters, Samantha Crakes of Galien; Amanda Crakes of Three Oaks; one son, Jody (Laura) Crakes of Three Oaks; grandchildren, Sarah (Nick) Worsham of South Bend, Indiana, Sullivan, Vincent, Ryder, Cooper; great grandchildren, Xander; one sister, Jackie Henry of Michigan City, Indiana; one brother, Louie (Sharon) Smith of New Buffalo;    and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Leslie Innes.

The family will observe a private remembrance.
