Carolyn Joan Feathers

Carolyn Joan Feathers, 78, of Jones, died suddenly Tuesday, February 4, 2025, while on a cruise in Costa Rica.

Her life began December 9, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana, the oldest of three children born to Arthur and Norma Lewis, Sr.  She married Samuel Jerome Feathers November 19, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana.  After more than sixty years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2023.

Carolyn was an avid Euchre player among other card games.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by two daughters, Laura (Rollin) Brenneman, Jennifer Feathers; one son, Samuel Feathers; five grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Kauffman, Jonathan Feathers, Brittany (Derrick) Braun, Jonathan Bigler, Chelsea Penner; and two great grandchildren, Abbey Bell and Johnny Bell.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Matthew Kauffman, Malachi Kauffman; one sister, Toni Raber; and one brother, Arthur Lewis, Jr.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Carolyn’s life Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #2094, 34 Sycamore Street, Niles, Michigan 49120.

Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Kessington Cemetery in Mason Township, Michigan.
