Brenda Sue King

Brenda Sue King, 57, of Elkhart, died peacefully under hospice care Monday, August 12, 2024 in her residence in the comfort of her son’s presence.

Her life began May 4, 1967 in Dowagiac, Michigan, the only child of Leonard and Linda Vaughn.

Brenda was a Christian and a loving person who will be missed by all who love her.

Brenda will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her son, Brenden King of Elkhart; her aunts, Lois Haines of Niles, Charlene Vaughn of Cassopolis; her uncles, William Vaughn of Cassopolis, Gordon Lawson of Warsaw, Indiana; former spouse, John King; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Barbara Buck, her uncles, Eugene Vaughn, Lloyd Vaughn, and Emerson Haines Jr.

The family will observe a private remembrance.
