Betty J. Moore

Betty Jean Moore, 80, died peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the comfort of her family’s presence.

Her life began December 22, 1944 in Dowagiac, Michigan, the youngest child and only daughter of Clyde and Virgina Moore.

Betty could often be found doing crosswords, reading the Bible, or spending time on her laptop. She also enjoyed going on drives and looking at homes listed for sale. Betty loved animals, especially horses and all her special pets. Her favorite music was the Statler Brothers and gospel music. She loved the Lord and attended Creekside Church in Dowagiac. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

Betty will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Moore; two sons, Johnny Moore and Michael Moore; one brother, Larry Moore and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roy Moore, Sr.

Family and friends will gather Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the historic chapel in Mission Hills Memorial Garden, 61453 M-51 in Sumnerville with Pastor Jamie Saylor of Creekside Church in Dowagiac officiating.
