Barbara Nelcene Jones

Barbara Nelcene Jones, 86, of Dowagiac, formerly of Jones, died peacefully Monday,

November 3, 2025, in the comfort of her family’s presence.

Her life began February 13, 1939 in Hartford City Indiana.

She married William Earl Jones June 15, 1958 in Hartford City, Indiana.  After forty-four years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2002. 

Barabara was a wonderful mother and wife. In spring of 1990 the purchased the Jones Camp Farm. Bill lived with her there until he passed 2002 and she stayed until 2023. Many happy family memories were made there.

Barbara will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is survived by three sons, Mike Jones, Kevin Jones, Steve Jones; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren;

 In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brother, two sisters, one daughter in law and two grandsons.        

The family will observe a remembrance in the spring of 2026.
